TranXmart and Shiming Logistics Form Strategic Partnership to Co-Create the Smart Logistics “E-Town Model” and Multi-Scenario Freight Services
On May 13, TranXmart and Shiming Logistics (001220) formed a strategic partnership to launch L4 autonomous heavy-duty truck freight pilots in Beijing E-Town and Hohhot. The partners will build a scalable “E-Town model,” expand from short-haul logistics to warehouse-to-port routes, and explore smart, low-carbon freight services for wider markets.
On May 13, TranXmart and Shiming Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (“Shiming Logistics,” stock code: 001220) officially entered into a strategic partnership. Leveraging L4 autonomous heavy-duty truck technology and real-world commercial scenarios, the two parties will jointly build a scalable smart logistics cooperation model and benchmark pilot projects in Beijing E-Town and Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, accelerating the commercial application of autonomous driving technology and innovation in smart logistics transportation.
Building the “E-Town Model” for L4 Autonomous Highway Freight
Under the agreement, the two parties will launch highway freight pilot projects powered by L4 autonomous heavy-duty truck technology in Beijing E-Town and Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. As China’s first high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, Beijing E-Town is a strategic hub for autonomous driving policy development, standards formulation, technology promotion, and application. Selecting Beijing E-Town as one of the first pilot locations reflects both parties’ commitment to setting a benchmark cooperation model for smart logistics, creating a demonstration application for innovation, and advancing large-scale commercial deployment.
The two parties will adopt a “trunk-and-branch coordination” deployment model, first validating the commercial closed loop for short-haul shuttle logistics before expanding the technology and operating model to medium- and long-haul trunk transportation scenarios such as warehouse-to-port routes.
With Shiming Logistics recognizing TranXmart’s L4 autonomous heavy-duty truck capabilities, the two parties will use the pilot as a starting point to gradually extend the service radius of autonomous freight capacity and establish a standardized operating system for smart logistics transportation. The goal is to turn the “E-Town Model” into a replicable pilot that can be scaled nationwide.
Leveraging Qianfang Group’s road network resources and highway digitalization experience across more than 30 provinces and municipalities, as well as its comprehensive after-sales vehicle service ecosystem covering insurance, battery charging and swapping, TranXmart will also explore with Shiming Logistics the commercial operation of new-energy autonomous heavy-duty trucks in more pilot areas, jointly promoting the logistics industry’s transition toward green electricity, lower costs, and higher efficiency.
Unlocking Diverse Freight Scenarios and Market Potential
As a leading logistics transportation enterprise, Shiming focuses on providing customized, integrated, and embedded supply chain logistics solutions for multinational manufacturing companies, covering the full-chain logistics process from raw materials to finished-goods export. By leveraging TranXmart’s advanced autonomous heavy-duty truck technology, the two parties will continue to explore how standardized and replicable operating models can be extended to more freight scenarios while promoting the normalization of commercial pilot operations.
Through the partnership, TranXmart will draw on Shiming’s extensive international customer network. Supported by typical “warehouse-to-factory” scenarios and autonomous heavy-duty truck technology, the two parties aim to unlock full-scenario freight capacity service demand from more internationally renowned automakers, port and shipping giants, and other enterprises, providing customers with more complete solutions. In market expansion, both parties will integrate their market resources and channels to jointly develop domestic and overseas logistics markets.
Looking ahead, the two parties will take this strategic agreement as a starting point to further deepen operating model innovation and freight capacity ecosystem building, comprehensively improve the intelligence level and scaled operating efficiency of their logistics transportation systems, and achieve mutual benefits and commercial value growth.
